This was a very special cake...it was over-nighted via UPS plane to my mother-in-law from Houston to Amarillo for her 60th birthday!!! Since it was mailed, everything on this License Plate Cake had to be flat...no soft icing. The cake was chocolate WASC with chocolate ganache filling. We even got our kids/her grandkids in on the decorating. Each of them decorated a white fondant heart with edible food coloring markers. :) The hearts were placed on the side of the cake.
