The handle is made of three piped pieces of royal icing. Once they were nice and dry, I just assembled them, and iced them together. The wheels are thick cardboard tubes with some pieces carved out so that the cake would sit nice and flat on top of them. I wanted to be able to see through them, so the cake didn't have such a 'heavy' feeling. The carriage bottom is roughly carved from 9x13 cakes, and the top part is 9x9. The rest of the details are done with fondant.
