This is a last minute surprise birthday cake I did for a friend of the family. Her husband told me she like blue and chocolate. After a little prying I got that her favorite flower was a pansy. The bottom layer is dark chocolate cake with ganache and strawberry jam. While the top is pound cake with buttercream filling. The pansies and leaves are all hand painted.
