Christmas Cake
The cake was covered in a base of white MMF, then a circle of blue layed on top, and snipped it with kitchen scissors freehand. Silver circles are painted in nu silver luster dust. The snowmen are made out of MMF w/ #1 round tip dots of black frosting for the eyes, stiff orange (#3? I think) pulled out for the nose. The arms are toothpicks coated by sticking them all the way in the brown frosting bag & tip #5, then slowly pulling out while squeezing. Made MMF cones to dry, then frosted to look like trees.
That is adorable. Just one question, what did you make your snowflakes out of?
I love this cake Monica, just as cute as it can be. The only thing that could improve it would be to sit it on one of my Christmas pedestal cake plates. :D
Taped a printoff of snowflake patterns to a flat surface, then taped saran wrap on top. Traced the patterns in thick royal icing with a #3 (I think it was) tip. Heh, ran out of room to explain that. :)
VERY CUTE! I just love snowmen and this will be going into my favorites for a possible cake at our next Christmas Open House. LOVE IT!
