I made this cake for our church to honor all the octagenerian, centenarians etc. members. We hold this celebration every year with a wonderful lunch & cake. It is a 9" square lemon cake with raspberry filling & frosting. Praying hands & flowers are sugarpaste mixed with tylose, I had to place a little prop under the hans as due to very damp weather, they needed a little extra support. I never make a very big cake as there are so many other deserts as well. I modeled the hands by looking at my own. The cake was enjoyed by everyone.
