This cake was made for a 40th birthday celebration.

It consists of one fruit cake and dummy tiers covered with various colours of fondant.

Lots of the cake has a coating of lustre dust and the gold piping is painted with edible gold paint.

The top of the cake has a big frill all the way around with lots of feathers and flowers inside.

This is a very bold and striking cake.
