A friend asked me to make this cake to represent her and her husband's future move to Colorado. The carved cake is covered in chocolate buttercream and sprinkled with graham cracker crumbs. Then, I airbrushed the whole thing with brown color to add depth to the dirt. The mountains in the background were made with paper mache, and the cake was topped with a gum paste car and mountain bike.
