A mother contacts me about making a cake for her son's target practice/shooting range birthday party. She says he has come up with a design for it - a target with a red bulls eye and deer antlers coming out of it. I thought it was a cute idea and fit the theme of the party well. The antlers are made from white and milk chocolate covering a wire and masking tape armature - thanks to Edibleart for the how to tips with the Mounted Deer cake photo. The mom also told me she was using camo invites and paper products so I added camo to the sides of the 10" chocolate cake. The shotgun shells are made from fondant and gumpaste. I really enjoyed seeing this cake come together. TFL!
