This was a groom's cake for a friend's wedding. It was my orange cake with vanilla buttercream. The cake layers were (bottom to top) 9,10,10,10,9. I carved it completely and put a board and dowels under layer 3. I didn't have any problems with slipage but the first face mask broke into 8 pieces. So, the night before the wedding i had to make another one out of gumpaste and heavy gauge wire.
