I was asked to make a birthday cake for my dads 71st Birthday. He collects JD tractors so I created him and I as a child as I remember back then. I made the tractor, Trailer, watercan, gas can all the veggies and shovel free hand out of gumpaste and fondant. I included him and I as a child which made him cry when he saw what I did. I never had professional schooling, it was a true labor of love. I even made the 4 layers of the cake green and yellow (John Deere colors) and filled it with chocolate buttercream and raspberry bakers jam. Although very time consuming, I was very happy with the end result. Fun Hobby.
