This is a cake I did for a friends daughter. Now that I am looking at it in a photo, I see what a bad job I did on smoothing the buttercream. It is a chocolate cake with chocolate SMBC icing. Decorations are fondant/gum paste. I wrote about this cake in "cake disasters" because I had a power outage while the cake was in the freezer and it turned the cake really mushy, I think because it defrosted while still wrapped up tight.
