I used fondant to cover the cake and to make the cutouts. The jack-o-lanterns and cats are self stick foam cutouts attached to wire. My wire cutters broke in route to deliver cake. That's why they are so tall. The 12 year old girl wanted a halloween cake but not the scary, gory cakes. This was my first attempt to make a crooked cake. It didn't come out as slanted as I would have like it, but they loved it anyway.
