Everything on these cupcakes is made from gumpaste and fondant. I made them for a class I am teaching. I thought they would make a great centerpiece for a holiday dinner. For those interested in the how to make the pinecones. I rolled out a brown ball of fondant/gum paste mix and rolled it into a cone shape. I then took a small pair of scissors and snipped v shapes working from bottom to the top of the cone. I let the cone dry and then highlighted the v shapes with a dark brown food marker.
