This was made for my cousin and her husband, celebrating their 30th wedding anniversary, (informal, at home with family)
This was really rushed, as it was a rich fruit cake, covered with marzipan, and then with fondant. I started cleaning and cutting fruit on thursday and delivered on Sunday. All from scratch.
The flowers took time to create, as the carnations, roses and orchids needed time between layers. Both of them are really fond of flowers , and I tried to incorporate that into the cake.
