My son is a volunteer firefighter, and asked if I would make a cake for their Annual Open House. Unfortunately I left the "l" off the end of annual, but was able to get back to the station to add it before the event started. The truck is covered in fondant and trimmed with gumpaste and royal icing. It sits on 4 - 1/2 sheet cakes which were iced in buttercream and airbrushed with "flames around the border.
