Another sheet cake. It seems like that is all anyone wants. This was for a friends Grandmother. They had no ideas so I was on my own. I wanted something a little old fashioned. I had seen a cake similar to this in the galleries and thought it was pretty. I finally got my buttercream roses looking good enough to put on a cake although I still need a lot of work. It is hard to see but I sprinkled the entire cake with cake sparkles which made it look a little better.
I think you did a wonderful job-your borders are perfect :P

Thanks! I use the Viva paper towel method to smooth my cakes.

I cut a piece of parchment paper to the size I wanted and then put it on the cake and traced around it with a toothpick.
