Thank you all. Yes, I did it freehand. No tilting turntable just raised the cake up and sat down on a chair to do the sides. I just used a little Wilton pink and I think I did add in a touch of brown to kind of tone it down some.

LOVE the contrasting colours you've used!! Well done. Your piping is excellent...no hesitation or uncertainty in the scrollwork. That's not easy to do. Into my Favourites it goes!!

Absolutely beautiful...just talking to a future bride-to-be today about a wedding cake with these colors...I'll have to show her yours!

I love this cake! Gorgeous. I too am adding to my favorites. How did you get the scrollwork? What tip did you use?

I did the scrollwork free hand. Start with like one swirl and then add to it. Scary at first but easy after you gain some confidence. I think I used a tip 3 or 4

Beautiful Cake!!! Inspirational and wonderfully unique! It's nice to see an artist such as yourself step away from the everyday and create a gorgeous work of art.

I saw a cake exactly like this in the ACE of CAKES of the Food Network with Cheff Duff . I don´t know now who took the idea from. :(

This cake is gorgeous, & still getting great comments since 2005. No matter where the idea came from, we should always give each other encouraging words not sad faces. Any great looking cake will be practiced over & over by others. So glad you shared this with us!! :D :D
