This cake is pictured in the Wilton Wedding Cakes "A Romantic Portfolio". I have wanted to make it since first seeing . Never felt like I had the talent to do something so beautiful. Flowers are gumpaste and I used the brush embroidery technique on all of them. The vines are royal icing and the leaves are also brush embroidery. In the book the flowers were white, but I added just a hint of violet to the royal icing. It took me most of this week, but I did it. It's a mock cake. Fondant covered, bc border.
