Mother's Day Cake

This is a chocolate stout cake with hazlenut buttercream icing and filling. This was only my second time trying the basketweave design and making gumpaste carnations, daisies, and leaves. It was my first time making fondant roses, and I don't have any petal cutters. I formed the base and the petals by hand. They didn't turn out as well as I'd have liked, but I learned a lot!
