Dia De Los Muertos Quinceanera Ii

Second view. I have a bunch of pics and the one thing I noticed in all of them is that no matter what angle the pic is from, the eyes of the skull appear to be looking right at you!!! So cool! Top tier is decorated with guitars and musical notes to reflect the birthday girl's love of music. Middle tier is black with pink zebra stripes. Bottom tier is Dia De Los Muertos to help tie in the skull to the rest of the cake. Skull has pink and black hair like the birthday girl!

Thanks Everyone for your comments! Maria...the girl who chose this theme was 100% set against having a traditional white Quince like her three sisters before her. As the youngest of the girls in her family, she wanted her birthday to reflect her style...not her parents. Aside from the cake, she came to her reception in a percession of Hot Rods, wore a black dress, and everything was decorated in hot pink and black. I love it when customers come to me with these types of themes!!

I think that this is awesome! I was a punky-gothy type girl, a little on the cusp of things at that age,a nd would have hated a 'traditional' anything! I'm glad that she wanted a cake out of the norm, it made for a GREAT cake! I love it! especially the skull, and the flower type eyes... CUTE! Great work! I'd have loved this to be my own!
