Black & White Coach Purse Cake And Wallet

Black & White Coach Purse Cake And Wallet on Cake Central

I was extremely nervous to attempt making a Coach pursecake but I really wanted to make this for my daughter's Sweet 16 this weekend. I still have 2 smaller cakes to make but that's a piece of cake ! lol It took me much longer than I thought. I started at 11am and finished at 7pm! It's the size of a real purse and wallet. The only thing that I need to learn if I make another one is the correct logo design for the sides. I used a template from an actual Coach purse that I printed online and resized big.

rolled and cut the handle, side pieces and hoops and glued them on using Vodka. Then I used Wilton gel paste paint with a fine brush I traced the logo again and painted the zipper with Pearl Gold Dust also by Wilton because I could not find the Metalic paint .The wallet was easy and I will probably make some of the wallets as gifts for family & friends for their B-days

This cake looks really good, I bet your daughter loved it. I read somewhere on this site that the font Engravers MT is the correct Coach 'C' logo design font. It worked well for me when I made a Coach purse cake. Hope that helps!

I am in process of doing a Coach Purse and Sneakers now and was debating on how to Accuratey do the "C's"....since the client owns every Coach bag Except the $20,000 alligator bag..So she knows Coach. Your tip on the Font works!...I used graphics program to turn the C and a photocopier to enlarge and shrink to the size I need. Thanks sooooo Much for the tip!....Mark
