I made this cake for my daughter's 5th birthday. It is buttercream with fondant and royal icing decorations, the shells are chocolate. Ariel's face did not come out great, but my daughter liked it, so whatever! As I was decorating the cake, I also dropped Ariel and she rolled down each tier, hence the pile of rocks!
