I went to Nickjr.com and printed out M&R from a "dress-up game". Then i put waxed paper over that, made them with the colorflow icing and transferred it onto the cake. I was bummed that the colors bled a little but the little girl's jaw dropped when she saw the cake--makes it all worth while!
They are spot on! Did you use a template for Max and Ruby, and if so, what did you use? My kids and nephew and niece love M & R and it's nice to see something done with the characters, since they really aren't that well known.
That's too funny. . . because I was looking at the pieces and wondering how you got the shadowing! Goes to show how as decorators we see 'flaws' and others only see art :D
That is awesome! My daughter is turning 3 next weekend and this is what she wants me to make now. I have never done color flow before. We'll see how it turns out...
