Critique subgroup member: I know Jadak likes the paper she did a Elmo on hers, but as I told her, the paper takes away from the total design and seems to clash and your board is a bit too big. Very smooth icing! Your stars are well done. I think your yellow shell border is evenly spaced but lacks a beginning and end to each shell. Start shell, squeeze, squeeze, release and pull, repeat.

Critique group member: Cute! I loke the mickey mouse theme! However there are a couple of things that bug me: 1. the cake board is too busy it detracts from the cake, 2. there are way to mant mickeys on the side sof that cake, 3. I think the cake would have looked nicer if the outline of mickey had been filled in but that is just me.

Critique Subgroup Member: I love the idea of this cake. The bright colors are perfect. I'm wondering if the design of the cakeboard and/or the sides is just a bit much. If there were fewer shapes on the board or not quite as many Mickeys on the sides it wouldn't be quite so busy, especially since it's a small cake. I like the top border with the white hanging out under the red.

critique subgroup member: wonderfully executed! Your bc looks incredibly smooth- the silhouette of mickey's face is nice and round. I maybe would not have added so many faces along the sides of the cake, but it's a really great fun cake. Your borders looks nice as well, and your colors are bright and festive.I like the dots in the bottom border- it ties the chocolate in nicely.

Critique subgroup member: I used that same paper under my Elmo cake! :lol: I think this is a cute idea. What are the Mickey's on the sides? If they're fondant, maybe they're a little thick. Also, I would put a few less on the sides. It looks a littl crowded. Even with a few inconsistent places, I like that bottom border. The black dots are a nice touch. I like all of the colors you chose. I would have liked a face on that top Mickey, but I know that's not what you were "going for." It's a neat ...

critique subgroup member: Your icing is so incredibley smooth!! I like your top border with the extra white extention, and I am usually not a fan of the star border. You did an awesome job with this border as it is nice, even, and very consistent! I very much like the bright colors. I too feel there are too many mickeys on the side. An a think the cake board covering is too busy and takes away from the great cake!, but good for you for straying away from the foil!!!!

Critique Group Member: Not to sound like a broken record but the amount of Mickey's on the side is a bit much. I wasn't going to mention them but just wanted to say that if there were fewer Mickey's I think the board covering would've been good. They just seem to compete with one another. Another idea would be to make the Mickey on top solid black and make confetti on the sides. Overall, though, you did a great job!

Critique Group Member: Great work, jescapades! Your design and colors are perfect (love that top drooping border!). Agree a few less Mickey's; I think the outline of the Mickey is terrific - maybe make it a bit smaller so it doesn't run into the red border. Its a very happy cake and would make anyone smile :wink:
