Big Pig
Thank you, Carrie (CakeL8T) for all of your tips and idea for this wonderful big pretty pig! This was for a little girl's farm themed birthday party. Dark chocolate fudge cake with chocolate hazelnut buttercream filling and icing. All covered in MMF, buttercream grass and RI violets.

Thank you all for the wonderful comments! As for how I made it.....9X11 pan for the base, put a cake board on top of that. Then I baked a single 8" round, 9" round and 10" round. Cut each round in half and stack on top of the 9X11 and board. I started with the smallest on the outside and worked up to the largest for the middle part. Carve slightly to smooth out the shape, ice and cover with fondant. I used a 6" round for the head and carved the edges a little to round it out. fondant legs, tail and n...
This cake served around 70-80 people. You can make a smaller version by just using the rounds and leaving the 9x11" off the bottom.
