Holiday Gingerbread Candle Holder

Holiday Gingerbread Candle Holder on Cake Central

Critique Group Member: Here is my feeble attempt at trying a Kraach creation. I just love her creations so much I wanted something similiar for my coffee table. It is gingerbread and RI made from hand-drawn templates (and a heart/star cookie cutter); the GB was glazed with a light sugar sauce to try to acheive a shine. All critiques are welcome (still trying to get the cornelli work better so tips would be most helpful - I used a #1 tube but think it should have been finer (?)).

Critique Group Member: its a beautiful design. i'm terrible at cornelli lace so i would love to hear what the others say, but it is a wonderful idea and wow it is super amazing when the candles are lit

Critique Group Member: I don't know what the process is for cornelli lace but I do know that your design looks amazing!! I am so glad that you took a pic of it lit up because it really brings out the beauty of the whole thing. Nothing to critique- I love the look and I think you did an incredible job!

Critique subgroup member: WOW!!! This looks fantastic! Everything is wonderful. A #1 is a good tip to use for cornelli so the only thing I can think of is that the icing was too thin and that's why it spread. When piping cornelli lace, keep the "loops" small and tight and random. You got the randome part down very well. The cornelli on the uppermost heart in the left section is PEREFCT!!!!!! Keep it like that!!!

critique group member: I think this is very beautiful. It is delicate and intricate. I love the outer border and think the overall design is great. Overall, the cornelli lace is very nice. The dots are perfect. The "shine" on the gingerbread adds a lot. Very nicely done.

Critique subgroup member: This is a lovely design!!!!! Yes your conelli needs some work, think C's and S's and I wouldn't go to a 0 or 00 tip yet until you try thicker RI it will give you more control. This is a very pretty centerpiece and I would be proud to have it on my table.

critique subgroup member: very lovely! very detailed and quite delicate looking! I think with the cornelli lace, to stay with the delicate look, use a smaller tip, and make your design tinier, you are then able to fit more into the small space and give a more delicate look
