Aw! I've seen cakes like this at Publix, but your santa claus has a lot more character. My sister also says that he's cuter than the publix santas. Good job and merry Christmas!!

Critique group member:Well I still think this cake is really cute but now I will critique it. I would have made Santas eyes bigger because right now they are the same size as the pink spots on his cheeks, also I would have icing the side of the cake in red so it looked like his suit. Overall though it's just adorable!

critique group member: This is a cute cake. I think I would use a peach color icing for his face to separate it more from the beard/hair. I also think the beard/hair would look neat if you swirled the icing, for a more curly look. It's a festive cake and would be fun to take to a holiday party!

Critique group member:it was a very cute idea to use the heart pan upside down. I, too, would have maybe used flesh color for his face and instead of the pink circles for his cheeks, maybe using a little colored icing instead would have blended a little better. Also, the ball on top of the hat would have been great if it was bigger. His face is adorable- and the border on the bottom was a wonderful finish :)

Critique group member: I agree with the other comments regarding the colors and also that this is very cute. Creative use of the heart shaped pan.

Critique subgroup member: Fun design! Pretty smooth BC. Good colors. Ishy tin foil again :( Your design is a bit off kilter. Make a pattern of his face and place onto the cake and draw in your line to start piping even measure his face elements so they are even. All of use have to work on our measurements. Then I would work next on getting each piped item the same as the one before and the one after. Scrape off and do it again and go slow when it acts up. :D Your border seems very consistent though ;-D

critique group member. what a neat idea for this pan. I agree with the others remarks. I think he would look cuter with a fuller beard. Great cake!
