This a last minute cake for a small Christmas Party of mine, I didn't get my fondant ordered in time to get the cake covered so I stuck with Buttercream. The bottom layer is peppermint vanilla and the top was peppermint chocolate with peppermint buttercream, it was a hit. I started out intending to smooth out the buttercream with the viva method but I just ended up not doing it. It was dusted with pearl dust, so there was a subtle sheen that can't really be seen in the photo.
