Beautiful. Not sure why everyone is knocking the foil. If you don't cover your boards, the grease from the frosting gets on and looks horrible, speaking from experience! What else do others use?

I like this very much. I got this pan off craigslist but have never used. This year, I just might. Thanks for the inspiration.

critique group member: I liked your first tree cake, but I like this one even better! I really think the cake board being cut to the shape of the cake is great...this way we see the cake and not the board. Love the addition of the garland and the candy canes are adorable!! My only advice, and this is a matter of opinion, but I'm not a fan of the board cover...don't care for foil. JMO.

critique group member: I like this a lot more than the first one, your candy canes look great and the cake board shape does make it easier to focus on the cake

critique group member. I love this. What tip did you use for the tree? I really like the board cut to shape, but think the covering should be different it takes away from the tree a bit. I also think it could use a few more ornaments, but i love the candy canes

Critique group member: Very nice! I felllike the tree could still usea few more decorations, but overall it looks great. I love the cake board cut to shape but please get rid of the foil.

critique subgroup member: great job! This is even better than the first! The extra decorations do so much, and just enough to not be over done. Job well done!

critique group member: GREAT job. I love the candy canes. What a feat in BC! The decorations are well spaced and look nice. I love how the board is cut into that shape. I really like this cake.

Critique group submember: Here is a case where too much is acceptable. More ornaments please. Love the shaped cake board. Now is that tin foil? Hope not. Your hand writing balances out the star nicely. Overall fun tree.

Critique group member: need I say GREAT piping work (as you always do)! Nice design and quite unique compared to many of the other trees I've seen on here. I think more ornaments would make it more festive looking. Love the trunk.
