Hand Painted Treasure Map To Go With Pirate Chest Mini Cakes
This was for a 5th birthday. Mom requested a treasure map and some mini treasure chests without a terribly "pirate-y" theme. This is a 9x13 with buttercream under a hand painted treasure map. Birthday boy loved ! The board was large enough to add 16 mini treasure chests around the centerpiece map.
Very nicely done. How did you get the torn paper effect on the fondant
I rolled the fondant very thin, having applied a tiny border of darker tan fondant. I let the fondant sit fgr a few minutes to crust up a bit and then I just took my thumb, pressed down on the edge and pulled/dragged away a bit of fondant away. Rae
