Snowman Cookies

Snowman Cookies on Cake Central

Here's my attempt at sugarshack's snowman cookies. These were easy and fun. I used shortbread cookies.

They are very very cute and well done! Could you explain the dipping procedure? How do you do it so neatly? Did you sprinkle the sugar on or dip it? Thanks!

I dipped the cookies in melted white candy melts. I lifted them out carefully with an offset spatula, scraping off any excess on the bottom of the cookie on the side of the bowl. I refrigerated them a few minutes to set up, then dipped the top half only in blue for the hat, sprinkled them with the edible glitter or sparkling sugar (I like the sugar better than the glitter) then let that set up in the fridge. Then I decorated them with royal icing. HTH!

Love 'em I tried some last night. Quite the novice but thanks for the tips. My chocolate wasn't as smooth as yours. I'm attempting them again. It was fun AND easy.

You did a great job! Is the blue portion of the hat also candy melts sprinkled with shipper dust? Cute, cute, cute!!!!

yes, the blue is also candy melts. I used edible glitter for the "snow." I made them again and used Wilton's sparkling sugar. I think it looked more realistic than the edible glitter.

Yes, it would work with an Oreo. I thought about using those too. The ones I used were the same brand as the pecan sandies, only without the pecans. They weren't much bigger than oreos. ....and lucygoosey....you could probably charge $1.50 per cookie, I'd say.
