My rationale for buying an airbrush was to save myself the trouble of kneading color into fondant. I was very pleased with how deep and rich I could get this red, and a little surprised by the shine that spraying imparted. What I need to learn now is PATIENCE -- airbrushing heavy bold colors requires DRYING TIME. My white circle cutouts started sliding down the sides of the cake!
