Elmo With A Tiger-Striped Kitty
This cake was SUPPOSED to have little white flowers in the green squares, and also as borders. But (as usual for me) I ran out of time! So had to do frenzied, piped borders with fantic, shaking hands. AAAARGH! Oh, well. Figures are fondant/gumpaste combo. Sign is candy melts. Inspired by many of the cool Seasame Street and kitty cat cakes on Cake Central!
you are WAY to hard on yourself...it is just as cute as a button...well done and your modeling is super...the lucky child who gets this is gonna be smiling...big time!!! :)
Ooops. Forgot to mention that I was trying a new technique for striping fondant. Cut strips and arranged them and then rolled them out together so they bacame one piece of fondant. Kind of fun to do!
