This was a last minute order for a Thomas the Train birthday cake. Trevor turned 2 and loved his cake. Everything is buttercream except the train is fondant colored with food pens due to the short notice.

Critique group member: your border piping work on this one is awesome and the design / layout is again terrific. Maybe you could have put the train between the tracks instead of riding the top rail. Oh - also, love your technique to write on the clouds.
Critique Group Member: This is sooo cute. You did a great job especially for a last minute order. I personally like how you colored the train with the food pens. It makes it look more "child-friendly". I didn't even notice the top-rail issue. Snowshoe has a good eye to pick up on that. The only critque I have to offer here is to either make Thomas' face thinner or cut out a place on the engine to insert his face so it is flush and not stuck out. Overall this is a great cake!!!
