Front view of cake - just too darn hot of a car ride home! It looked so pretty in class and of course I forgot my camera and couldn't take a pic till I got home. Still tastes very yummy.

yikes.. this happened to me for a wedding cake 3 of the cakes did that and pulled the actual cake with it... grrr.. heat and humidity are the enemy!

Sorry about your cake. My teacher told us to ice the sides of our cake very thin and the top regular thickness. She said if we iced thick on the sides the weight of the basketweave would pull the icing off the sides like happened to you. Hope this helps for next time. Beautiful flowers.
Don't feel bad. The same exact thing happened to mine on the ride home. I was so glad I got good pics of it in class. :)
