Square White On Ivory
This was a cute little cake. It posed a few challenges because the groom is allergic to gluten, dairy, and eggs!! I ended up doing a lemon cake using soy flour, soy mayo, and noooooooo dairy. It is filled with a blueberry filling and iced in Crisco BC, covered in ivory fondant with RI piping (I warned the groom not to eat the piping work). It was really fun to do as the couple was so easy going about its design; they just wanted a square cake with the ribbon from her bridesmaids dress on it. Everything else was left to my own design. I really think it came out cute. Thanks for looking.
Wow! That sounded like it was quite a challenge to make! It looks beautiful!
Thank you so much. It was a bit of a challenge but it did come out quite tasty. However for decorating purposes there are some things I would do diffrent for next time, like perhaps make an extra layer or two of the gluten free cake to get some more height. Thanks agan for your nice words
great jo. Was it hard to alter your cooking to fit the order? i mean, was the substitution equal to the same amts if no allergies were worried about? (see i still need tutoring)!!! This cake is beautiful.
