This was one of my first cakes using fondant. I think I could have done a much better job had I practiced some more. I had a hard time cutting the fondant to fit well on the cake and smoothing it. The cake was devil's food chocolate and was torted with strawberry perserves and then covered with BC and then the fondant. I'd like to try this one again and hopefully have a better outcome. The groom had requested this cake and loved it so I guess all that really matters is that the couple was pleased! :-)
