I made this all in buttercream for my neighbours son who just
turned 2. He loved it :-)
I did pattern transfer using the pin prick method as i find it more
neater then the piping gel.
cpr040304 - The pin prick method is so easy. You trace your design onto a parchment paper. Then, using a pin, prick holes along the lines of your pattern. So, from the bottom of your pattern, it would feel like "braille". Then once you have iced your cake, place this pin prick design onto your cake and rub it smooth. Then, carefully remove it from your cake. Voila....! You'll see the design on the cake. So easy...hope i made myself clear? Good Luck :)
cpr040304 - sorry, i forgot to say that when you place the pin prick design onto the cake, make sure the "braille" part faces down onto the icing...
how does the pin prick method work? I have never heard of it? Is it easy to do? You did a beautiful job...it looks gorgeous!
