How Do I Make Frosting Stand Up Strait?

I am making cupcakes for the superbowl and i want to have the football post that are on each end of the feild to be on the cupcakes. but i don't know who to make them stand up with frosting! plaese help me

The only way you could do it using a frosting is with royal icing or colorflow. Buttercream won't stand up that much.

You could also make them with melted chocolate or candy melts.

There are other ways too I just can't hink of them right now.

Well, you would not be able to accomplish this with regular buttercream. You would either have to make the posts out of Royal Icing on paper and let them dry or make them out of fondant.

You could probably use royal icing and pipe them onto wax paper. Once completely dried, CAREFULLY lift them up and put them into your cupcakes.

You could probably use pretzal sticks, covered in regular icing, to make them too if you don't want to use royal.
