Cake I sold on accident, this girst at Starbucks saw my daughter's bday cake and loved it they all know me so she asked for my number and gave it to her sister and she called me last night and ordered this cake from me, she just wanted a vanilla cake with pink icing and left it up to me to do whatever I wanted so i made this today, 10" vanilla cake, BC dream and strawberry preserves, first time making fondant booties, painted with pearl dust and edible pearls, on the sides, well you all know what is wrong with this cake hopefully they don't see it!!! icon_redface.gif
Thanks for your help and for the links they were very helpful and the booties were so easy to make even i can make them!!
Please critique my cake don't be kind or nice unless you really mean it,
it only helps me improve!!!

Your booties came out great!! They'll love them!!

As for the side of cake . . . I can't see what you seem to see. Maybe the angle of the pic but it looks fine from here. icon_smile.gif

You did an incredible job! WOW! Aren't you glad you went ahead and tried the fondant booties? I want to learn how to make those - I guess now I know who to go to for instruction! Maybe we can sit down together sometime and make up a bunch of them for future use!

Again, GREAT job - and I don't know what you are referring to when you say we all know what is wrong with this cake - It is smooth, and straight and your writing is great and the pearls are all placed perfectly . . . I LOVE it!

Hi! I think this cake is adorable! Whatever U think is wrong with the cake, don't worry about it, they are not going to notice it.
They going to look at the booties, the cute pink color and the pretty pearles.

Fabulous cake. The booties are just wonderful.

As for something wrong with it, you're the only one that can see the problem. The best thing I ever heard was, every cake has a back!

Charming cake! A real success.

Well I usually think my cakes look better in person I take horrible pictures of anything and this time I have to say the picture helped, I tried using the dots impression mat and then I could still where the dots were, I'm also still trying to make them look smooth like some of the ones here on CC but i guess I gotta keep goin and practicing Kerri the booties were so easy!!! We should get together and make a bunch even the little ones they would be so cute!!!! We should have playdates too!!!! I love talking cake!!!
