Hi every1,

I am making a cake for tomorrow and I was wondering how to make the border look like round balls...I hope that makes sense. I know to use a round tip, but I always get a small peak when I pull the tip away.

Thanks!
Berta

Squeeze the bag and let the icing build up around the tip...Stop squeezing and then pull the bag away. If you still get peaks, just dip your finger in some powdered sugar and push the peaks down with your finger. The powdered sugar will help keep the icing from sticking.

The other way to deal with peaks is to get a damp paintbrush and just push the peaks back into the icing

I do that too MissBaritone. I just use my decorators brush in water and smooth out any peaks i get. i even use it when I am writting on cakes. It's a easy and great trick!
