Has anyone ever heard that the white coated paddles have a lot of lead in them and that they're dangerous to use? 

no I haven’t heard that — I’ve heard that when the white stuff cracks it’s not good — KA will replace it if it cracks — they have replaced mine —

I have not heard that either and I doubt that they actually contain  lead. Thanks for the tip, -K8. I didn't know they would replace them.
