Could you do a cupcake cake? That would give you a bit more room to play with. Maybe 100 shining stars? Okay a bit lame but I'm not very good with this stuff!

You could do apple trees with 100 apples and use those small red balls (like dragees) for the apples.

The cupcakes are good because you won't need a knife. I'm making the numbers out of cakes for my son's class
