Hello!! I need your help!!

I was asked to bake a cake for 15 people, but she wants the cake tall, is it a 7” pan with 4 layers enough? I’m confused since I have seen different serving charts! thank youuuuu!!

most serving charts are not for 7” tall cakes — that being said, it’s the footprint of the cake not the height that determines the amount of servings — that being said a 7” tall cake is three quarters bigger than it needs to be

ohhh, wait, I’m running out of battery and I just realized you want a tall cake but not necessarily 7” tall…

You need an 8” pan — it’s right on the border using the 7” — you need to cut four slices out of each quarter of cake — they’ll be thin — you would just make it with the 7

if your cake is crumbly at all it won’t work— bake something that slices firm & clean — bake at least the day before it’s served
