Elephant Skin While Kneading! Any Fix?

I can see that my fondant is separating/tearing even as I knead it.  Is there any fix?  When stretching it, it's looking like elephant skin already, before getting on the cake!

Do I need to start all over, or can this fondant be fixed?  Crisco, maybe?

Thanks in advance!  I seem to be having cake issues this week:)
