Hello, I have been asked to do a wedding cake for 20 - 25 guest for a small intimate wedding.

I have 6 - 8 - 10 pans all 3 inches in depth. Would a stacked 6 × 3 and 8 x 3 be too much cake?

Any other ideas/options?

Thank you

if they are serving all the cake that would be about perfect -- if they keep the top tier for the first anniversary, you'd still use those size pans but up the height to at least 4' tall ---- i'd prefer an 8 x 5 tier cake, with the 8" to be 4" tall and the 5" to be a bit shorter so it looks graduated well -- to me a prettier silhouette than the 8x6 -- i'm old fashioned blush

usually depending in the type of cake batter, for american type bridal fluffy cakes it's difficult to get a three inch tall cake in one bake out of those pans -- you probably already know that, just saying -- unless you are making a pound cake or a mud or fruit cake that can take the heavier batters -- in which case i'd def go with an 8x5 --
