is this a piping tip or just a spatula running deep around the edges?!?! I can’t tell and a customer wants something similar...

i think it looks piped on with a star tip with deep grooves --

I agree with K8, I'd use a large open star tip and do a couple of practice runs on a piece of parchment. Keep your hand straight, don't let the tip turn while you pipe.
