i have been looking online everywhere for a recipe for a 4 inch drip cake. I have two 4 inch pans which are 3 inches deep. I would prefer to just use two pans and make them rise, then halve each of the cakes to make 4 layers altogether. Would anyone be able to help me here?

If you half the recipe for a regular cake recipe designed to fit two eight or nine inch pans, it should work for your two four inch pans.
