Opening up another session of FNCC! Everyone is welcome to share what they have been up to this week, post photos of their work, ask for help or provide help if you are able to.

Oh my my, what a week! TGIF never been so true. No cake for me this week unless I experiment with fault line cake during the weekend. Those cakes seem too easy to he true...

Thanks for bumping all week long everyone!

Julie

No cake for me, but I made two dozen sourdough English muffins today.

Friday Night Cake Club For 03-13-20

Friday Night Cake Club For 03-13-20

A customer came in and ordered two pink and white unicorn cakes. But, apparently due to the corvid-19 panic, he decided not to have the party and came in to cancel his order for the larger one, literally as I was finishing them. Probably shouldn't have given the refund, but I didn't want to get into an argument when tensions are obviously already running high, so I decided to let it go. I guess we can either try to sell the second one, or if that fails I or someone else at the store can take it home.

Sorry that happened, angesradieux.  I've heard others talking about cancelled orders.  The cakes are adorable, though.

Glad you think they're cute! Fortunately since I don't own the business it really isn't any skin off my back. I did see a couple people stop to admire it when they came in for ice cream, so I'm hopeful someone else will buy it. But if not, the worst case scenario is the "sell by" date comes and goes, and then I take it home to enjoy myself!

Tbh, I'm surprised at how many cakes we're still selling. With all the corvid-19 craziness happening, I'm shocked anyone is still having parties.

I made a Key Lime Cheese Cake with whipped cream and lime curd this afternoon.  This is not the actual cake I made today, but the same recipe that I made before.  We were in too big a hurry to start eating it for me to get a picture, lol.Friday Night Cake Club For 03-13-20

Sandra they were yummy and had leftovers today. I don’t know how you got that picture of the cheesecake. I can see why y’all were in a big hurry to eat it. Looks delicious.

Thanks, Marian64!  This is not the cake I made yesterday, but some time last year using the same recipe.  It is our favorite cheesecake.....well, one of them anyway, lol.

Sandra I meant the picture of the one you posted. It sounds like a really good cheesecake recipe. I haven’t made cheesecake in along time. I may have to make one soon.

It is good, Marian64, if you love lime.  If you are interested, I would be happy to share. I think it is a Betty Crocker recipe.
