A customer wants a gender reveal cake with liquid inside, so when they cut the cake, the liquid pours out with the colour of the gender.  How do I make the liquid? Thanks

Wouldn't the liquid soak into the cake?

Never did or eard about something like that! The only way I think it would be 'somehow plausible' is if you  make some sort of edible box with chocolate and make sure is very well sealed. As for the liquid part, I would choose something a little thicker, maybe a thick anglaise cream, a soft pastry cream, or pudding maybe. Something that would compliment well the flavor of your cake, because when you cut the cake/edible box open, you do not want water to soak the cake and make it mushy and inedible.

Reading this I immediately thought of putting a water filled  balloon in   —-  how I don’t know:)   Yrs ago there were many pictures/directions  of using a 6-pack involved with a water balloon   Make a fake cake w/the balloon then have a real cake to serve?

I am SO glad you were brave enough to say it, MBalaska!  All I could think about is what a stupid request!
